Toby Twining

Toby Twining has traveled musically from playing for rock and jazz bands to composing and performing experimental music for voices with a fresh approach to harmony. Twining’s instrumental music has been recorded by pianist Margaret Leng Tan and cellist Matt Haimovitz. He was a 2003 Pew Fellow, a co-founder of Arts on the Edge Wolfeboro, a 2011 Guggenheim Fellow, and a recipient of a 2013 Grants to Artists Award by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts.



Eric S Brenner

At home in most genres, Eric has sung messiah as both alto AND soprano, recently premiered hannah lash’s ‘blood rose’ (written for eric & kirsten sollek), & will sing the role of arbate in mozart’s ‘mitridate’ with little opera theatre of ny next month.





Eileen Clark

Eileen Clark has sung Toby’s music since 1996 when she toured Shaman. She can be heard on Toby’s Chrysalid Requiem as well. Her own solo CD Lemons Descending, with cellist Matt Haimovitz, won a best classical vocal indie award. Eileen has appeared as soloist with Mark Morris Dance Group, Syracuse Opera, Commonwealth Opera,  American Classical Orchestra, Ascension Music, Musica Sacra, Ensemble Relache, Fireworks, and others.

Avery Griffin

Avery Griffin is a passionate advocate of new music. Avery has premiered and performed works of Pascale Criton, Ezra Sims, Jason Eckardt, and others. He is a charter member of both Roomful of Teeth, a vocal octet, and NotaRiotous, the chamber ensemble of the Boston Microtonal Society.





Steven Hrycelak

Steven Hrycelak, a bass from Rochester, NY, is at home in many musical genres. Regular gigs include the choir at Trinity Church Wall Street, the vocal jazz quintet West Side 5, a role in Frank London’s Klezmer musical A Night in the Old Marketplace, and ensembles including TENET, The Green Mountain Project, Ekmeles, Meridionalis, Vox, Voices of Ascension, Musica Sacra, and the NY Virtuoso Singers, to name a few. He trained at Yale University and Indiana University, and is also a vocal coach/accompanist.



Malina Rauschenfels

Cellist/composer/singer/dancer Malina Rauschenfels has collaborated with Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, airelise, Doorknob Dance Company, Laura Flowers, and Dodge Dance, scored the film LineAge, and composed for C4, In Extensio, Cadillac Moon Ensemble, Janus Trio, and Rebecca Danard. Rauschenfels was a 2008 Bang on a Can Composition Fellow.
